VIDEO: SBS Reveals Inspiration Behind Advisory Services

Strategic Benefit Services (SBS), has challenged ourselves to take an introspective look at not only what we do, but why we do it. Many retirement advisory firms offer similar services, so we developed a new video to demonstrate how our approach to advisory services distinguishes us from other retirement advisory firms.

Benefits Services Video
Our corporate structure is unique in the industry in that we are owned by a nonprofit organization. Deeply ingrained in our corporate culture is the belief that putting the interests of our clients first and foremost is paramount. Staying true to our lineage, we are able to carry that philosophy through to our clients with our advocacy approach to retirement and benefits advisory services.

“Our advocacy approach allows us to build real relationships with our clients, creating a shared fiduciary responsibility between SBS and the companies we advise,” said James J. Kelley, SBS President. “At a time when legal and regulatory changes are making it more difficult to stay ahead of the fiduciary responsibilities, it is more important than ever to stay connected with our clients.” Our’ new video and redesigned website help to send this important message to plan fiduciaries.

The newly redesigned website features a dedicated resources page with educational content, a regularly updated blog, as well as the video describing the SBS approach to advisory services. The Resources page includes custom articles and whitepapers to provide education on the roles and responsibilities of plan fiduciaries, important factors for improving participant outcomes, and best practices for maintaining a retirement plan.

“We are in the business of protecting our clients, and we take our mission to serve in this way very seriously,” said Mr. Kelley. “Our client-focused, comprehensive, full-service approach to retirement advisory services allows our clients to make informed decisions on employee benefit offerings.”

If you have any questions about the video, or would like to speak with an advisor, please get in touch by calling (855) 882-9177 or e-mail us at sbs@hanys.org.
